Yes, I live in Florida and chase snook, redfish and the occasional tarpron. My roots and soul, however, are in the spring creeks, free stones and salmon rivers of the NE USA. I retired from my corporate career and have since morphed into a professional bamboo rod maker, fly tier and have a special affinity the classic salmon flies and, generally, all things old. No doubt I was born about 150 years too late. I look forward "meeting" and "conversing" with you all.
The challenges out there...here is an example of some items I have just received that came via somebody else from the Cheffin's buyer...implying ..as was his way ..that they came from the collection...so what can we say. The Bronze Mallard is tied in similar bunches as some others in the collection - is obviously vintage...but just seems to lack quality and size...the Pale blue feathers are superb quality and taper and tied with string that perfectly matches items in the Hackle Book..the little red feathers are a tied a bit messy and the dye matches no other in the collection...the Guinea bundles ..one looks correct the other not....it'
s a lottery, with no early evidence from photos, descriptions or packaging...so they will not appear in 'the collection'..even though some might be legit!
